Fully recyclable barrier pouches
Flexible packaging, such as stand-up pouches for soap, cereal or pet food, are high-tech products that provide protection against contamination and germs, and guarantee the safe transport of goods. In order to meet the requirements, usually PE and PET have been processed to achieve specific properties, which severely limits recyclability due to the material mix. With the Reifenhäuser EVO Ultra Stretch process for blown film lines you can improve the properties of PE films to a level comparable with those of PET films, so that these can be replaced in the material composite. The result is a fully recyclable mono-material composite. We call it the All-PE-Pouch!

EVOH: Thanks to a maximum stretch rate of 1:10 the barrier effect of EVOH is doubled. The EVOH content can thus be reduced to less than five percent while maintaining the same barrier effect - a basic requirement for the recyclability of flexible packaging.
