Our organization
The various locations of the Reifenhäuser Group have their own purchasing departments. In order to merge requirements to create synergies, we work across locations in a Corporate Procurement Network (RCPN). The search for and selection of new suppliers is carried out by interdisciplinary teams of buyers, engineers, and other specialists.
Our product groups
The total purchasing volume of the Reifenhäuser Group is organized by product groups. We are looking for products and services for the following main merchandise groups:
- Operating resources, auxiliary materials and supplies
- External services
- Semi-finished products and raw materials
- DIN and standard parts, drive elements
- Electrical and electronic parts
- External production parts (drawing parts)
- Complete systems and assemblies
- Capital goods

We want to achieve top performance in cooperation with our suppliers. The annual supplier evaluation tells us whether we are on the right track.
SUPPLIER EVALUATION
We have used an evaluation system for many years to help us to minimize sources of error and monitor the continuous development of our suppliers. Our supplier evaluation focuses not only on quality and delivery reliability but also includes other criteria such as cooperation, cost management, and innovative capabilities.
Supplier evaluation is used to rank suppliers and classify them. "Preferred suppliers" are suppliers who have achieved above-average results in evaluations for several years in a row. If the desired performance fails to meet our expectations, we agree with you on improvement measures and accompany you along the development process.
CLASSIFICATION AS "PREFERRED SUPPLIER"
A team consisting of purchasers and other colleagues from specialist departments, such as design or production, evaluates all suppliers who jointly account for 95 % of the procurement volume. The information accrued over the year is analyzed in order to obtain an overall picture of suppliers.
