Facility manager Maik Fischer and his team want to redesign the garden of the youth center together with children and young people and start a small environmental project: several fruit trees will be planted and raised beds for growing vegetables will be created. The project will be accompanied pedagogically so that the idea of sustainability can be taken up and discussed with young people.
In addition to the garden project, the facility offers numerous activities for young people in its spacious facilities. In addition to a gymnasium, there is a large kitchen where they also cook together; a girls' room, a workshop, a painting studio, a fitness room and even a bowling alley. The Bauhaus Youth Center is an institution in Troisdorf. Built in 1968 by the parish and run by the Katholische Jugendagentur Bonn gGmbH (KJA) since 2020, the facility has accompanied numerous young people on their way to adulthood.
